PRIVACY POLICY

This document is a description of the personal data privacy policy used by Taranko Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Gdansk, ul. Marynarki Polskiej 73 B, the owner of Taranko E-Store (hereinafter also: E-Store) and Taranko Mobile Application (hereinafter also: Mobile Application). It defines the principles, manner of processing and use of data and information from customers and users of: the www.taranko.com website, the Mobile Application, as well as other online platforms, such as partner websites and social networks (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Platforms"). This Privacy Policy applies to all user data collected through these Platforms by Taranko. By using them and submitting any personal data, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy. The administrator of the personal data is Taranko Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Gdansk, ul. Marynarki Polskiej No. 73 , registered in the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court Gdansk- North in Gdansk, VII Economic Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number 0000162074, REGON: 192903799, NIP: 9570857274 (hereinafter also: Taranko).

 

I. Principles of personal data protection

1 Taranko processes personal data of its customers and Platform users to the extent appropriate for the purposes for which they are obtained. Depending on the purposes of processing, this may include such data as name, surname, home address, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, bank account number, IP address, other personal data voluntarily provided by the subject. Some of the data must be provided on a mandatory basis, due to the technologies used on the Internet, the need for the proper functioning of our website and Mobile Application, or in case of a desire to use specific services offered by us or to receive answers to specific requests and inquiries.  Other data is provided by customers and users voluntarily through our consent banner or special forms. In each case, we always inform you in a special statement (information clause) about, among other things, the purpose of processing your personal data, the legal basis, the categories of data collected and, above all, your rights and who to contact if you wish to exercise those rights.

2.Taranko takes special care to ensure that all personal data are processed in accordance with the purpose for which they were collected and used in accordance with the scope of the authorizations (consents) granted and the areas of processing permitted by law.

(3) All personal data shall be processed in accordance with the requirements of generally applicable law, in particular in compliance with the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 216/679 of April 27, 2016. on the protection of natural persons in relation to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (RODO) , the Act of May 10, 2018 on the protection of personal data (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1781 as amended), the Act of July 18, 2002 on the provision of electronic services (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2020, item 344 as amended) and the Telecommunications Law ( i.e., Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1221 as amended), including in accordance with the scope of the consent granted by the customer.

4 We ensure that the processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the principles of substantive accuracy and adequate for the purposes for which they were collected.

(5) We process the data for the period necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and, in addition, for the period of the statute of limitations for claims related to the products and services offered by us and for the period in which we are obliged to do so under generally applicable laws.

6 We ensure the confidentiality, integrity and accountability of the personal data we process.

(7) Processed personal data shall not be shared without the consent of the data subjects, unless the data is shared with entities authorized to process personal data on the basis of an entrustment agreement concluded with Taranko (including those cooperating with the Administrator: law firms, personnel and accounting offices, IT service providers, couriers) and entities authorized under applicable laws.

8 We inform you that we use services and technologies offered by entities such as: Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Apple, which may transfer data outside the European Union. We inform you that the entities referred to in the preceding sentence, when transferring data, rely on decisions establishing an adequate degree of data protection in countries outside the European Economic Area, are certified by the Privacy Shield, as well as use standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, and guarantee that they will comply with the high standards of personal data protection that apply in the European Union, so the use of their services and technologies in the processing of personal data is lawful.

II. Ways of obtaining data

1. personal information is obtained through: 

a)    Forms filled out in Taranko stationary stores - information is collected for contact purposes, to make exchanges, returns and complaints about goods, to join the Taranko Club, to use the Newsletter service,

b)    Forms filled out online - information is collected through forms available on the website and in the Mobile Application for contact purposes, placing orders, registering in the E-store, registering in the Mobile Application, making exchanges, returns and complaints about goods, joining the Taranko Club, using the Newsletter service, 

c)    Non-network contact - there are phone numbers and email addresses on the website where Taranko can be contacted.

(2) Taranko website uses "cookies" files that are computer data, in particular test files. These files are stored on the website user's terminal equipment. Two types of "cookies" are used:

a) session files - temporary files that are stored on the user's terminal device until the user leaves the site or shuts down the web browser;

b) permanent - are stored in the user's terminal device for the time specified in the parameters of "cookies" or until they are deleted by the user.

Cookies are used for the following purposes:

a)    Necessary cookies - contribute to the usability of the website by enabling basic functions such as site navigation and access to secure areas of the website. The website cannot function properly without these files,

b)    Preference "cookies"-allow the site to remember information that changes the look or function of the site, such as the user's preferred language or region,

c)    Statistical "cookies" - help us understand how different users behave on our website by collecting and reporting anonymous information,

d)    Marketing cookies - are used to track users on the website, the purpose is to display ads that are relevant and interesting to individual users and thus more valuable to third-party publishers and advertisers,

e)    Unclassified "cookies" - about files that are in the process of classification, along with the providers of the individual files.

 

The law states that we can store "cookies" on your device if it is necessary for the operation of the website. For all other types of cookies, you must obtain permission from the user. Some cookies are placed on your device by third-party services that appear on our website.

Our website uses "cookies", which collect various information that, as a rule, do not constitute personal data (they do not allow for the identification of a given user). They allow the creation of profiles through which Taranko evaluates your preferences, on the basis of which notifications are sent to offer the purchase of products. However, some information, depending on its content and use, can be linked to a specific person and thus be considered personal data. The site uses a Marketing Automation-type tool that collects user data for the site Administrator. The collection of the aforementioned data, is intended to help you make a purchase suitable for your user profile. Bear in mind, therefore, that this type of data processing carries with it an analysis of your or your customer's profile to determine what your preferences are and, consequently, what products and services best suit your style, with the aim of sending you information that is suitable for you or suggesting products that we think may interest you.

Cookies placed on the user's terminal device may also be used by Taranko's cooperating social, advertising and analytical partners , in particular for the use of tools such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, RTB House, Facebook, Instagram, Expertsender, Circlewis e. Partners may combine this information with other data received from you or obtained when you use their services.

III. For what purpose are the collected data used

1. personal data provided by customers are used for the purpose of processing and handling the order, issuing a sales receipt, shipping the goods, possible return and/or complaint, as well as for the purpose of fulfilling Taranko's obligations arising from applicable regulations, in particular tax and accounting regulations, and asserting and defending claims related to the execution of the order, i.e. on the basis of: art. 6 paragraph 1 letters b), c) and f) RODO.

(2) If appropriate consent is obtained, data is also used for marketing purposes (including sending messages about promotions, news, sales and events, as well as analyzing data for marketing purposes) based on Article 6(1)(a) of the DPA until consent is withdrawn.

(3) Data is also processed for statistical purposes on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) RODO.

(4) Data obtained through "cookies" are used, among other things, to ensure proper operation of the website, for statistical purposes, to remember information that changes the appearance or functioning of the site (such as the user's preferred language or region), as well as for marketing purposes.

IV. Newsletter

Customers have the opportunity to receive the Newsletter, by providing an e-mail address or telephone number and agreeing to the processing of personal data for marketing purposes and sending commercial information. The Newsletter contains information about the latest sales offer, promotions, sales and events. The user may unsubscribe from the Newsletter at any time.

V. Security and storage of information

Taranko ensures the security of personal data through appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent unlawful processing of data and their accidental loss, destruction, damage and access to unauthorized persons.

VI. User rights

(1) The provision of personal data to the extent necessary for the execution of the order is voluntary, however, it is a prerequisite for the use of the services of the E-Store and Mobile Application. Provision of data required for exchanges, returns and complaints of goods is a necessary condition for verification and possible realization of customer claims in this regard.  Provision of personal data and consent related to receiving the Newsletter or joining the Taranko Club is completely voluntary, however, withdrawal of consent to process data for these purposes is tantamount to resignation from the services of the Newletter and participation in the Taranko Club.

(2) Personal data of customers of the E-Store and Mobile Application will be processed for the period necessary for the execution and processing of the order and the statute of limitations for claims related to it. Personal data of customers making exchanges, returns and complaints of goods will be processed for the period necessary for the verification and realization of these claims and their statute of limitations. Personal data provided for marketing purposes , will be processed until you withdraw your consent to process your personal data for this purpose.

(2) Taranko respects the rights of each person whose data it processes: access to data, rectification of data, erasure of data, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object. In detail, the scope of each of the aforementioned rights and the situations in which they may be exercised are indicated in Articles 15-22 of the RODO.

(3) If the processing is based on the data subject's consent, the data subject shall have the right to withdraw consent at any time, with the proviso that this shall not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

(4) A person whose data is processed may request information from Taranko in writing or electronically regarding the personal data collected and processed by Taranko, as well as his or her rights in connection with such processing. 

(5) The person whose data we process has the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority-the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection-when he or she considers that the processing of personal data concerning him or her violates applicable data protection laws. .

VII. Changes regarding privacy policy

Changes to Taranko's Privacy Policy may be affected by changes in the sphere of applicable laws, including in the area of personal data protection, as well as other factors. Any changes will be promptly communicated to customers and users on Taranko's website.
